Bodies absorbing projectiles.

Are plans in place to enable bodies of the fallen to absorb projectiles? This is a sadly missed feature in other linear combat games of this type. If bodies absorb shot, then it would encourage people to form columns lines and other formations when attacking, further enhancing the attempt at portraying the period this game is set in.

It would be a shame to not add something like this, for it is sorely needed.

Once a person is killed, the body of the dead character still has a hitbox that absorbs bullets. This hitbox being active as the person falls down and keeps being active whilst on the floor.

I would like this to be added as well, but with the possibility of bullets still overpenetrating and injuring people behind the first person hit. This would apply to living players too (a bullet could pass through a person's arm without killing him only to hit someone else in the face).

Perhaps this could tie into projectile speeds and loss of velocity over travel.

One issue to the idea of having permanent hitbox producing bodies is that we'd have to get rid of the body count slider in options, which some people may depend on performance wise.

Sounds good, but it would kill double line formations.
I mean, nobody will use them even though they are looking great :)

But +1 for bodies absorbing bullets. And possibility to step on the fallen friend body. (Ragdoll colliding with living player) :P
