Spanish units in trailer ??
« on: August 04, 2017, 02:50:02 pm »
Hi,

If I'm wrong correct me but I think those 3 soldiers ( 2 left 1 right ) are similar to Spanish Tiradores/Cazadores, Infanteria de Línea or  Infanteria Ligera due to brown jackets. I know only about Garde Nationale de l'Ariege using brown as the main color in 1814 or 1815.

They do look like Spanish units, it could be true as the French did have Spanish regiments within its army with various units.

I would reckon that there will be regiments from Spain or other various countries that can have their own unit within a faction, hopefully, that's how it's put. Unless they add it as a whole faction.

I would like to see some Rhenish/Spanish units in French army roster, not a whole faction but like you mentioned 1 or 2 regiments.

It would be historical if they did so.

It was in the back of my mind trying to remember what the brown coated unit was in the trailer. On the now defunct Steam Greenlight page, Jackson answered the question: the brown-coated soldiers are Corsican Voltigeurs as just revealed in this dev blog.

Well I think adding more factions would either come near the end of the Early access or After it as perfecting the current faction would be the main priority but then again depends on what the Developers decide.
