Looking good. Whilst I appreciate you've most likely got the content of these blogs scheduled, when can we expect some video clips of infantry in-game?

That is a good question I WANT ANSWERED.

cant wait for some gameplay. I hope closed beta testers will have permission to upload video's!

Im a bit worried about cavalry...  :-\

Under "Join the Army" Line and Rifles where specifically mentioned and at the end; "cannons will play a major roll"

No horses mentioned, im going to keep hope up and assume that horses just havent been implemented into the engine yet. How els are they supposed to move the cannon cross a battlefield?

Roll the gun wheels.

I'd expect that cavalry would most definitely be implemented, considering it has such a large part to play in the Napoleonic Wars.

Roll the gun wheels.

Lol its not like they are made of plastic, youd roll it very short distances or just turn it, maybe a small cannon you could just roll.

You certainly couldn't manhandle a gun by yourself. It takes a team.

Makes sense only an officer should have the ability to issue orders to the infantrymen. No infantry ranker should order a charge or to hold position. Will there be any way for the rank and file soldier to communicate with their fellow soldiers? With the premise of the system categorizing the troop type and their abilities/traits now I'd really like to see gameplay, too. Maybe in the near future, short but sweet dev blog. Both officers look splendid, I wonder if the British 23rd Officer has a belt underneath the sash.

A little suggestion/thing I have thought about in proportion to NW. After I watched some Waterloo-scenes from movies on YouTube, I saw a horseman play/blow in his horn/trumpet to signal an attack or withdraw. I just thought about how it maybe could help teamwork, but maybe also playing a part in creating the dramatic and epic battles, and to create an awesome atmosphere on the battlefields.
When I play NW i sometimes miss the sound from the drums, pipes and horns, and the sound always seems to disappear when you walk like 5 meters away from those who play. Maybe it's a little thing, but I just thought about how it maybe could add something different to the game. A horn blowing signal to attack, and then all charge and you can hear the enemy shouting from a long distance!

What do you think? :-)

Maybe just some good soundtrack for immersion ?

I usually turn off the music or put it so low that i can barely hear it.
Like Elkjær said, Id rather have some actual ingame sounds thats hearable from a distance.
The NW mod im using atm (no clue which tbh, mod pack not made by me) is quite good at doing that, you can hear difference between close and far away musket fire, but only sometimes.
Its also very nice to hear cannons in the distance as usually there are just cannon balls coming out of nowhere cause you never hear them.
So hearing a trumpet blow of the charge amd than the sounds of horses getting closer, a group of 20 so horses going full gallop towards you cant be a pleasant sound  :D   ;)

Pretty sure they will, otherwise it be rather dumb, L'Aigle got it so wouldnt make sense if they didnt add that here
