Server Admin Access Nitpicking
« on: January 27, 2017, 02:11:56 am »
Back in NW this feature was pretty useful for securing a server (if unapproved people had the admin password, logged into the server, they would get auto perm banned.) However it had it's annoying aspects such as;

Inputting player ID's: It was a pain to do, you had to edit a text file in the server folder, look up the area of the text files to put in the ID keys (often an eye sore), not knowing who's ID's belonged to which person. + Improve/add a admin list interface.

Required server reset: Admin teams will often change, admins ID's will be required to be added or removed. Server reset was required to make changes which was annoying for public server hosters. + Make changes not require a server reset.

Being able to restrict admin access would be extremely good, MB is very unsecure...

From my good relationship with the developers i can tell you, in later development clan mechanics will be very extensive, i can also tell you this will most likely will be taken a good look at in the future.

Do not spread rumours you claim to have heard from the devs. You will be punished. Even if it were true.

Sorry I so agree I should keep this information to myself. I am a good man so no need to worsen what I have worked hard to get Jackson.

I am quite curious how this mechanic would play out. would be good to make a separate suggestion thread about ideas how the administrating of servers would make and dealt with. NW got it right mostly, they could of used much more improvements though.

Now now Jelly, only constructive critisism is allowed in these parts.

Regardless, I agree with you entirely.
