Yes, they said they would add a selection of uniforms for each class!

This is obviously fake since I would retire in protest if the 2nd KGL Light were given grey trousers.

I know nothing about the brits, what did the 2nd KGL wear if not grey trousers?

They probably wore white in the Peninsula, and switched to grey along with the majority of the army during the Waterloo campaign. Unless they solely wore green.

Their uniforms aren't well documented, but the evidence suggests they wore black or very dark grey leggings. See this write up of known information.

From what I've read and seen drawings of, it varies actually. They did use bright grey trousers, but some did also as you mentioned use dark grey trousers

To my knowledge, there are no period images or documents that show the 2nd battalion in grey leggings. There's one contemporary image of an officer of the 1st in grey overalls, but the 1st wore completely different uniforms from the 2nd.

True, I've only been able to find drawings by Richard Knötel, which show the 2nd Batt. using bright grey trousers, but he was born 40 years after the war...

But in the field they might have just used whatever they could get

This is someones blog isn't it?

I always trust Osprey for information on Uniforms as well as Brasseys Publishing, the sources are often given in detail in the back of every publication.

Plus reenactors are often anal when it comes to accuracy, you can tell them, I wont because they are armed. ;)

Osprey Publishing are good to find good primary sources and get the right information. But they too also base their information on secondary sources, who might have gotten it wrong, which may lead them to make some tiny mistakes sometimes :)
