Prussian units
« on: October 28, 2017, 01:07:41 pm »
So, we all have seen the official poll and it's obvious that Prussia will be the next faction in Holdfast.
Let's discuss what prussian units/regiments do you want to see ingame

I would be happy to see silesian hunters or guard jagers

Fusilier's are a must have (light infantry), they wore black belts as opposed to the line's white belts but otherwise, looked similar, fusilier units usually being made up of the shorter and more agile men.

Also their iconic shako's as well, the landwehr had some nice peaked caps aka (schirmmutz) as well, i don't know if we will see them however, in the game due to the fact that they were formed on March 7, 1813.

Feel free to make suggestions, but I think we've already come up with a list of a regiments that will please everyone.

legendary quick thinking dev team of the century
The Fresh Emperor of France: In west Corsica born and raised, In the Tuileries Palace was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' annexin' all cool and all, Shooting some Spaniards outside of the Madrid
When a couple of Austrians who were up to no good, Started invading allies in my neighborhood
I got in one little war and Britain got scared and said, "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Saint Helena."

It was obvious pretty early that Prussia was going to win.

Prussia used NCOs as their colour-bearers.

Colours and standards were carried by a senior NCO (fahnen standarten trager). he was armed with a saber and was ranked with a Feldwebel. The escort of color consisted of so called colour-bearer-NCOs (fahnen-unteroffitziere) were armed with spontoons. If i'm correct, correct me if I'm wrong.

Like the French fake rifles and the Dutch white guardsmen and British bearskins?

Iirc they used air rifles... Or was that the Austrians. Napoleon hated them. Probably more than rifles.

It was the Austrians, and Napoleon never encountered air rifles.

Given some of the appalling uniform choices for the British and French I have no confidence that any future choices will please everyone or even the majority of people.
