Title: In-Game clan/regiment Sytem
Post by: Dark_Knight on August 23, 2017, 10:28:44 am
Hey all

I was asking myself if we will have a clan system. I mean, when you are typing your name and customising your caracter, can you link him to a clan ingame, harmosing tags (i mean for exemple the clan name appearing in [ClanName]), and making an ingame page summarising number of ppl in, leaders, etc.

I hope i've been clear enough, if not, sorry!

The Steam name system is just temporarily, I believe there will be regimental tag system later after the early release.

They have clearly stated that they want the game to be heavily focused towards regiments. So I am guessing they are working on a system of that sort.

Great! Looking forward to seeing all the new systems and tools that will be added to make regimental play even better than before.  :D

It would be usefull if data from such a system can be export outside, maybe to the own homepage databank or excel sheets...

We work on our Homepage atm, and if we can import data on which date they was part of a battle / training, or kill / death ratio for some medals and so on, that would be awesome. always in mind to have it easier to manage all the soldiers.  :D

We tryed several times on NW to get medals for soldiers according to their achievements in battle, this system could make it easier to manage indeed!
And if your in-game caractere could have a medal on his uniform, that would be amazing! But i'm asking too much  :P

Wear medals while you fight on dirty battlefield?  :D that would not be very accurate, but if you can manage the soldiers ingame, it would be great to give medals and ranks (and the rank on the uniform he wear)! that would be huge...  ::) and as i said export or link this data with extern parts like a homepage.  :P

I have seen people put * in their tag to show if they won a medal or a duel tournament within the regiment.

It's like this for example Xxe_ESO*_Name. Could be a nice way.

There is quite a few Regiments that do the * with their rank.

And? You have failed to understand the purpose of a game then. "an activity that one engages in for amusement." If someone finds it entertaining, so be it, he may suggest it bro

I hope you can edit regiment numbers (server side), NW spoiled us in the 33rd. I don't know if I can ever get used to playing as someone else's regiment.

I don't want to start an argument, but I don't think a little piece of aesthetic like medals on the uniforms can be considered "hardcore realism". But I understand that it can be annoying to see people ask for a exact replica of the era, and I know I have done this many times before.
