PC Build Guide For Beginner.
« on: September 26, 2017, 11:26:39 pm »
Hi all,

I wanted to post this in hopes to receive some advice and guidance. My end goal is to build a PC capable of running this game at a nice rate. My background is Mount & Blade Napoleonic Wars ran on an old gaming laptop. I love this period of history and am fixed on making my jump into building after seeing how beautiful this game looks. My question to you all is for advice in which routes to take as far as components/sources/guides and anything else you would deem useful to a noob of just about anything related to computers.

Thanks so much.  :)

I7 6700, paired with 1080. You dont need a processor like the 7700k if your not thinking of overclocking.

my I7 was like 40$ more then the I5, so I went with it. the extra clock speed would just help if im doing rendering & things..

I run Holdfast with an AMD APU A8 7650K and a GTX 1050, I get around 30 FPS with a full Server and 60+ FPS around 60-90 players, for me this is completely fine as it's much better than what my i3 Laptop did.

You could go for some used parts like an i5 2500k paired with a 770 ti (just a suggestion)

No ultra settings here but 60 fps at low/medium

Can't run with a GTX 760,i5 and 8GB Ram on populated servers, even on low.
That normal?

I have an i5 2500k (no oc) and a 960 4gb, running at 40 fps on high on populated servers.

Events run perfect though

At the current state of the game being less optimized yes maybe looking into an upgrade would be in your interest, if not you may be able to run the game lowest settings low pop but that's really your limits.
