I think crosshairs are fine until you aim down the sights, then they should go away. It seems to be the standard procedure for most shooters, so I'm going with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality.

Note: Making a server option available for only First Person View, then it could create some amazing servers and more historical hardcore events.

Couldn't agree more.

In NW i always play first-person, i'll continue the practice in this game.
People who play third-person don't know what they're missing ..., the in-your-face action.

It was very difficult to become proficient at melee while using 1st person because it was a pain in the ass and generally boring for me. The majority of the community used 3rd person because it made melee much more enjoyable and the game play feel better. It would be nice to have the server option, for the historical events and role play servers.

Hi John, 3ed person is standard for most players by far.
The idea is to have 1st person servers where everyone has the same limitations.
That means no 'ghosting' around corners or sighting above ridge-lines.

It's a realism thing.

I think we have to be careful with this. We don't want crosshairs to op. Like mabey have some restrictions when ads. Like not being able to move or something. while ads do give you better accuracy. Or you could do what someone else suggested and make it a skirmisher only thing but skirmishers in my option are already op. Like in mount and blade, 5 man spacing, better gun, faster. The only downside is the melee which if you are any good is no problem. So idk just make sure that ads dose not give you some game-breaking advantage.

For sure need the option of Aiming down sights. The first person aiming in NW was weird, unattractive, and didn't add anything from the view we got in 3rd person. Maybe even take it a step farther and make it slightly less accurate to aim in 3rd person, kind of a fire from the hip type thing. I know how inaccurate the smooth bore muskets of they day were, but still.

Unfortunately, in our time people are very poorly versed in historical weapons.
All muskets were equipped with sights! Madness to think that there were no sights!!

Well, a sight at least. With the exception of rifles and some light infantry muskets, most Napoleonic muskets only had a front sight.

Such sight grooves were non-standard and nearly worthless. A rear sight has to be elevated to actually function as a sight.

This was well known. Therefore, made an amendment for shooting. For example, at 50-100 meters, they aimed at their knees, at 150-200 meters in the chest, at 250-300 meters aimed above their heads.
Judging by the video with accuracy, everything was not bad

The actual Napoleonic wars suggest that accuracy was bad almost beyond belief.

Having a mechanism to aim down the sights, as proven with warband for the past 2+5 years, is not necessary
for the line battle style gameplay. And personally, I never missed it. But maybe this is because I am a third-person-shooters kind of guy.

The simplest answer would be: If you have the time to spent on implementing it, add the option. :)
Ever revoked promises. Deliberate coincidences. All full of lies.
