I just wanted to recap the regimental options until now.

Ship crew                         Infantry                                      Artillery                 Cavalry (soon)                 Cost Guards

Cockpit                          Company A/B                   cannon platoons               Platoons                           Platoons

       Marines          Sailors

In the same breath, I wanted to ask how exactly the boarding of enemy ships will work.

What is the difference between the Coast Guard and the Marine Corps in the game?
Are these Coast Guard uniforms all historical basis? I do not think the 19th century British troops have white uniforms, because they are generally red uniforms

Looking good and the blog is a nice read.

Ps: I am able to find info on the Canonniers Gardes-côtes and Douanes Imperiales but not on the St.Kitts militia. Can you help me with that?

Marines are on ships, coast guards defend the coastal fortifications.

Many foreign british troops did not have the "standard" issue uniforms. The british did not have designated coast guard units, like the french did (Just like they did not have customs like the french) so we had to choose something else. We could have selected a "normal" british line infantry regiment but we decided for St. Kitts instead. Reason for that is quite simple, St. Kitts militias primary purpose would be to defend the coast (Since it is a small Island...) so it would make a lot more sense to see them defend coastal fortifications and they also look more interesting than the boring old red you see everywhere.
