Turn-based strategy forum game
« on: July 29, 2017, 04:19:56 am »
Anyone would be interested in a turn-based strategy forum game, Civ VI style?

Short description: There is a GM and players. The players can choose a spot on the map to start their country. They can create their own custom units, policies, etc, with the help of the GM, manage their economy and military, and interract politically with other players and NPC. The game would probably start with city-states and let the player expand their empire.

Agreed, but would this not be quite difficult to run and startup...?

That would probably not be an issue.

I don't know if you're asking me or SwirlyPants, but once we have enough members not really.

It'll take a few weeks, maybe a month to flesh out the mechanics and make sure everyone likes them and is familiar with them. The main struggle will be to get enough members to participate. I need enough players to make the game interesting, plus 2-3 volunteers to act as mods and help me running it.

So if you are interested, spread the word. Tell your friends and brothers in arm, even if they are not interested in HoldFast. Maybe they will only play the game, or maybe they will become interested in HoldFast ;)

I think I will start when I have 10-12 players and 2 mods.
