I am 12 and what is this?

Spoiler

In the photo again, not military conditions.

I do not want players to spam their jumps during a fight, like in Quake 3.
Why would people suddenly start spamming jump? They didn't in NW unless everyone was goofing off and dancing or something. Holdfast isn't trying to be a milsim of the musket era, it's just a game. Don't take it too serious.

I've never seen jumping soldiers. This is absurd.

Never?

there are at least two types of jumps - "high jump" and "long jump"
in game "high jump"
in your foto "long jump"
 :)

my opinion in game it  too "high" like napoleonic kangaroo

Here's some gameplay from the event today :)
Showing off some officer gameplay and double ranked firing!
Also a little siege at the end!

Gameplay looks good man!

The claim that a soldier cannot jump is absurd. It is an essential skill taught in all modern obstacle courses. And if you want a more contemporary source from the 18th century, consider the words of Mikhail Kutuzov in his 1786 instructions to the Bug Jäger Corps, where he recommends men fall out of formation and file in behind their neighbours only if an obstacle occurs ahead of them which they cannot quickly jump or climb over.

Quote from:

I wouldn't object if jumping were replaced by a context-sensitive mantling system, but jumping is still acceptable.

I like the cover in the gameplay and the formation witch i did not expact! it blow me away its so awsome and unique so this game will be live forever :)
Also the maps are impressive i like to get this extra into the gameplay:

Cover sneak key by pressing Q or E, so you can shoot behind houses and reload safetly.
Craters from the canon bombs..
Wind Option: Players can turn it on or off in a server the wind will move bullets left of right just look at the flag where the wind is blowing. Make it harder to iam.
Cavalery: probably in development.
Black Smoke: not only white  ;)
Snow footsteps if its possible?
Body count: please make on option to leave number of death bodies.

i Dont have a problem with jumping.. :P

There wouldn't have been black smoke from guns, burning buildings would cause black smoke.
