Hit me with an image or video my man, I'll add it in and quote it with a source.

Mini map:  grids. 9 to 16 grids so that players can coordinate locations better. Possibly allow officers to "plot" beacons on the grids to call for help?

Achievements:  cuff chevrons, perhaps, to denote play time or level-up?  Sort of how some military branches denote years of service. Understanding the difficulty to customize per player, but an easy and visible way to denote "level".  Or give chevrons next to the players name.

No thanks on the minimap, I think it should be as it is for adding that could ruin the entire point of an officer having to rally his troops through VOIP.

Kind of sad the minimap cardinal direction icons aren't bigger yet. Didn't know it was a game breaking or game changing request

Emote/Animations were a big one ( http://www.holdfastgame.com/forum/index.php?topic=2246.0 )

We cannot promise that we can focus of this anytime soon as at the moment our focus is on the core mechanics of the game but it's definitely a great idea and one I would like to personally find the time to work on (again)! We already started working on a similar mechanic that will allow players to play an animation or emote of their choosing before our release on Early Access but halted worked on that to focus on more important matters.

100% agree with you. With the whole game engine update/rework, I can only imagine how busy you guys are. I appreciate the response and keep up the good work!

My suggestion for improving the overall combat is as follows:

Make Flags a non-weapon that only provides buffs and does what it is intended to do for a Line of Soldiers. He has Pistol and Sword for personal defence.
Improve the Musket accuracy, as it's very historically inaccurate.
The Pistol is more accurate than the musket, which needs to be changed ... In basic terms, the pistol is a down-scaled musket, without the butt-stock for shouldering the weapon and without the longer-barrel for increased accuracy and velocity. It should by no means be more accurate than a musket.

Rifles, as much as I hate them, are not as much as a priority in terms of Accuracy fixing but more of a Reload-time increase and they should be balanced out.

Seriously, this is a Napoleonic Wars game and most people Rush for Pistol/Flag/Rifle classes and no love is given to the Musket.
That's my two-cents on how I think the core-game can be improved.

For me the two things I would really like to see are cavalry and mobile artillery, mostly cavalry though. Not sure how well these things would work in public games but for the events they would add quite a bit to the game.
You must not fight too often with one enemy, or you will teach him all your art of war.
