A Call For Map & Character Designers

Interested in designing maps or perhaps new uniforms for Holdfast: Nations At War? We’re now giving access to in-house development tools that’ll allow you to do so! These tools require a significant level of technical know-how but if you know your way around things, you’re more than welcome to apply.

Anything that is created using these in-house tools will be integrated into the game and represented as official content if it is of sufficient quality. Applicants with access to these tools must be committed to creating multiple characters and or maps.

You can find a list of requirements below. Kindly note that positions are very limited and we may not be able to give access to everyone who applies.


Level Designer
  • Experienced with the use of the Unity game engine.
  • Be able to design concepts for maps fitting to the game.
  • Attentive to performance when creating and designing maps.
  • Be able to follow procedures and neatly organise props within the scene.
  • Confident that the quality of the maps you’ll be creating are on par with those present in the game.
  • Knowing how to make use of 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop or other tools for 3D modelling and texturing to design your own props is a plus.
  • Be communicative. You’ll be required to stay constantly in touch with the team.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.


Character Designer
  • Highly experienced with the use of 3DS Max, Maya or Blender.
  • Highly experienced with the use of Photoshop and Quixel Suite or Substance.
  • Confident that the quality of the character models (uniforms) you’ll be creating are on par with those present in the game.
  • Historical knowledge is a plus.
  • Be communicative. You’ll be required to stay constantly in touch with the team.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.

Excellent to see the progress on moving toward custom content for official use. I can't wait to see the hidden talent that is exposed as a result of this move.

Dammit, if it wasn't for the age restriction, I'd definitely apply for Level Designing! Although still excited to see what can be created!

I would apply but only dabbed in Zbrush and haven't used 3DS Max yet. I specialize in the 2D aspect.
