I think these suggestions are fine, but AGS may go with the later uniforms of the 1811-1812 period, but it also depends on whether AGS models Bonapartist soldiers or the army fighting for the monarchs of Spain allied with the British.

I guess there's no particular reason to use one over the other beyond which one looks better. I assumed that Anvil would use the early uniform because the British and French uniforms in the game were apparently based on the same period. I also expected they would want to use the Tiradores, but then again maybe not.

I remember hearing that Jackson used the Prussians of 1813 because Anvil specifically asked for the landwehr.

EDIT: I personally like the earlier 1808 line infantry better than the 1812 ones. I think it's better to have a Spanish army that uses as distinctive garb as possible, rather than stuff loaned from another nation.

Incidentally the Prussians also received some British uniforms which were used for reserve troops:

But I do like those Catalan Police, they may make a good coast guard/customs.

Here is a good article on the Spanish army of the Estremadura at the battle of Talavera:

looks good, personally I don't like the style of some of the uniforms but they look unique and interesting.

Thanks gamer. I was wondering which uniforms you don't think work? There is a variety of uniforms availible from the 1808 period so many classes could be switched out for others.
