Looks really nice, I'm loving the art style for the models, something really appealing about them!

They are vistually distinct and should be so as we'll be peering through thick smoke to see who's shooting at us!

Good job guys, eagerly look forward to learning more about the game in development with the next one.

That is the whole point of it, yes. We tried to make the units as visually distinct from each other as possible. Sometimes that is a bit difficult, especially for the Uk a  lot of the units are dressed in red, but I think we managed to get some interesting units together that will be easy to distinguish even by new players.

I don't know if its been brought up before but the hands look really big in relation to the heads. If its just me that's fine. I'm really looking forward to the game regardless.

Yeah I am hoping they body models are just one size all placeholders as the heads and hands thing is a bit silly but I am sure that is on the big list of things they got to do. The uniforms and gear looks simply amazing though.

I am curious though how many flavours of infantry/light infantry we'll get?

British "line" infantry don't have wings on the uniforms.  Grenadiers and Light troops do.

For most regiments, that is true, but the 23rd Welsh actually had them for all the companies. :)

like olafson said, their designation as 'fusiliers' allowed their centre companies to keep the wings, same for the 7th

I would really like to know what was the reasoning behind the 93rd Sutherland Highlanders unit to feature a light infantry company. Not because I disagree with the choice of one unit of light infantry, but because I am quite intrigued by the choice and as to why. Or maybe it's just because for the sake of visual differences and I am slightly overthinking it. :P I've looked it up quickly and from the North American theatre of Napoleonic Warfare in 1812, at the Battle of New Orleans, the 93rd (Sutherland Highlanders), 1st battalion, were apparently documented to have a light infantry detachment. This is from Wikipedia for starting research, I would like to know if this can be confirmed.
The British troops overran and captured the American position on the right bank of river while, on the left bank, a detachment of light infantry companies, including that of the 93rd Regiment of Foot, captured some American fortifications. However, the British assault on the right flank assault faltered and the men of the 93rd Regiment of Foot, still on the left bank, abandoned the American fortifications and crossed over to support the faltering right flank.

I would presume that is one example as to why the 93rd ought to have a light infantry company in a new game this time around. I'm only going by what I found and what I presume to be probably true, but not what is cited to be.

Again, I have no complaints with the development, design choice, any of that. I am simply curious what led AGS to make the 93rd a light infantry unit or company as content.

It is only a guess, but I presume the exact timeperiod the game takes place, down to the particular year(s) is somewhere between 1809-1812 or so.
