Will this be implemented in the game?

Perhaps the most famous proponent of the buck and ball loading was George Washington, who encouraged his troops to load their muskets with buck and ball loads during the American Revolution. It remained a standard issue ammunition type in the US Army through the Civil War, although European armies generally did not use buck and ball shot, considering it an unfair and dishonorable way of fighting.

The Americans participated in the war of 1812. Therefore, they also refer to the Napoleonic wars.

In Europe, they preferred to load muskets with ball and ball.

Also, here is another interesting information on the thread: http://modernheritage.net/Scott_etal_2017.pdf

To be fair leave the European stage to the Europeans and let Wings and Tories be for these kind of features.

How did it happen that farmers armed with old muskets smashed a huge army of Zulu, and the British armed with the latest rifles and revolvers suffered a shameful defeat?

You do realise that the British won the Anglo-Zulu war right? Unless you're speaking of something else.

But if they are seriously considering bringing grenades into the game in some form why not alternate ammunition types at least for one of the three flavors of shock troops?

It is worth some form of considering.

I am pretty sure that the Russians were equipped with a few rounds of buck and ball.

This does not cancel the fact that the British suffered a shameful defeat having a huge technical advantage.

Supply issues caused the lines to run out of ammunition. Leadership issues caused strategic failures. "Huge" tech advantages aren't such a massive deciding factor in a battle. Compare Rourke's Drift to Isandlwana and you'll see the difference.

Back on topic though, I don't see what buck and ball add to the gameplay other than better chance to hit for one side. If buck and ball is added then cold Canadian winters which broke Kentucky morale should also be added.
