If Prussia community thoughts that Waterloo gives priority to other factions. This is a sign of great ignorance and lack of knowledge. Go and read some books about period or maby Wikipedia. FFS. Waterloo was the frosting on the cake but we want a cake, not frosting!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleonic_Wars
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peninsular_War
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_invasion_of_Russia

In the end it's a computer game and what should count is what the majority of customers want. If most people want certain nations, then it means that more people will buy and continue to play the game, if these nations are present. This will not only ensure that more players find their way into the community, it will also raise the income for the development and ensure that the game will progress further.  I don't see a problem in that.  :)

I'm sorry, but that's false equivalence.  The people voting now more than likely already have the game, so the inclusion of ANY new faction would bring your desired effect, regardless of the nationality.  If you truly care about the sales and market value of this game, you'd be asking for the inclusion of America.

Well, there is at least a trend that shows the size and preferences of the community.  I don't know why you shouldn't reflect that on new customers.

Bringing in Americans wouldn't be a big problem for me either. Surely the game focuses on the Napoleonic era, but I don't see any harm in bringing in more content that would allow us to expand the scenarios, or timeline. It only means that we would get more out of the game.

Prussia was shit at the beginning of the Napoleonic Wars with an antiquated army and being raped by France.

Prussia was sort of the turning point in the battle of Waterloo. Without the aid of Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher the battle would have surely been lost

As the 17th of June 1815 drew to a close, Wellington's army had arrived at its position at Waterloo, with the main body of Napoleon's army following. Blücher's army was gathering in and around Wavre, around 8 miles (13 km) to the east of the city. Early on the morning of the 18th, Wellington received an assurance from Blücher that the Prussian army would support him. He decided to hold his ground and give battle.

Nonsense.

It's a whole: if you exclude a part, no mater which, you would loose.

If brits or other territories decided not to fight, France would have won. Saying that it was thanks to Prussia it's Just a phallacy to feel superior.

Got some map ideas for the Prussians, I'll also post this in the map thread:

1. Teutonic Castle

A map centered around a red-brick Teutonic castle, like those commonly found in the Baltic for the Army Battlefield and Army Siege (French attackers, Prussian defenders) game modes.

Examples:

2. Winter Abbey

A snow-covered map centered around a Prussian abbey for the Army Siege (French defenders, Prussian attackers) and Army Battlefield game modes.

Examples:

3. Polish Farmland

A flat, dreary, late-autumn land covered with crops and with bare trees lining the paths for the Army Battlefield mode.

4. Polish Farmstead

A map in the same style as the Polish farmland, but centered around a cluster of farmhouses for the Army Siege (French attackers, Prussian defenders) and Army Battlefield modes.

"... the Austrian army ... carried most of the burden of the war on land.
Though repeatedly defeated, it always rose again..." - Gunther Rothemberg
Austria was the most implacable of Napoleon's continental enemies:
Austria at war with France - 108 months
Prussia at war with France - 58 months
Russia at war with France - 55 months

.

"Oldest and, next to the English, the most persistent of those foemen
were the whitecoat Kaiserlichs." - John Elting
In 1809 the Austrian army was the third largest army in the World.

.

" The great confusion of nationalities is a serious evil [in the Austrian Army ] .
In the British army, every man can at least speak English, but with the Austrians,
even the NCOs of the non-German regiments can scarcely speak German."

Checkout more about the amazing history of the Imperial-Royal Army

Never say no to the beauty of the Austrian Imperial-Royal Army.

The case for imperial austria sure is that it represents the most nowadays european nations and it was a very unique country.
All the uniforms are simple because of budgetarian reasons back in the day yet they hold unique marks depending on the represented nationality and are still very majestic. Also Imperial Austria was the main nemesis of Napoleonic France and was first to wage war onto the revolutionary france. The Austrian Archduke Carl was also the first to beat napoleon in a battle on land. This huge colossos of a country sure needs to find a way into this game soon :D

The Imperial Army defends the honor of his Imperial Majesty, the Kaiser of Austria.

Kingdom of Spain - Reino de España

Hello everyone. The next faction that should be added in Holdfast: Nations at war is the Kingdom of Spain because it took a very important role in the Napoleonic wars since the beginning and it was (and it still being) one of the anciest and greatest nations of Europe as well as the most forgotten one.

Firstly the Kingdom of Spain aligned with the 1st Coalition against the French Republic, attacking the Roussillon. Spain also participated in the 2nd and 3rd Coalition but this time allied with France, taking an important participation in the 3rd Coalition when the franco-spanish fleet was defeated by the United Kingdom in the Battle of Trafalgar (one of the most named battles of the history) and sending a contingent of 14,000 men (North Division, under command of the Marqués de la Romana) to Denmark.

Also, the Spanish armada has been the biggest one in history for a long time and it was one of the biggest ones in the age that take place the game.

Already in 1808 and having their kings kidnapped in Valençay, Spain was under gobern of the Supreme Regency and organized in Juntas when declared war on the French Empire and joined the 5th Coalition in the one known by the English as the Peninsular War and for the Spanish as the Guerra del Francés (War on the French) where the Spanish defeated for the first time in history the Grande Armée, what made the Emperor go to the Spanish front, adding this with the failed attempt to conquer Russia is what started the decline of the First French Empire and made Napoleon to be banished.

For the M&B's DLC Napoleonic wars only there were a few mods that replaced one faction for the Kingdom of Spain, as I did one for my regiment.

No one cares about what each faction did, really.
