Community Server Issue - Fix Inside!
« on: June 25, 2018, 07:48:50 pm »
Community Server Issue (Upcoming Fix In 2-4 Days)

Andreas (Our lead programmer) solved the Steam authentication issue for the community servers which was causing them to appear empty in the lobby once launched.

We’ll be pushing the build out in around 2 to 4 days. Since we had no choice other than to patch the engine as part of the solution to fix this issue, we now need to invest time in order to make sure that everything is working as intended.

During this time, we’ll also be fixing other bugs that players reported.

Thank you.

PS: If you require a server to host an event until we push forward this fix, please message Refleax on Discord. We can provide you with a temporary server so you can still host your event.

We’ve now placed a fix for the authentication issues for community servers on the BETA branch.

To Server Hosts:
1)    Download the new server files from the BETA branch.
2)    Make sure that you copy over the new DLL files from the ‘holdfast_naw_public_servers’ folder. A link to the folder can be found in the server documentation here: http://www.holdfastgame.com/forum/index.php?topic=1975.0
3)    Your server will now be able to launch without requiring the Steam client.

NB: Players are not required to opt into the BETA branch to connect to your updated server. We will push this fix towards the main branch as soon as we solve some graphical issues that occurred due to our recent engine upgrade.
